It’s been a while. Quite a while.
I’ve been so busy and it’s already been almost six months. I travel up and down the North-East coast including Washington DC, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Back and forth endlessly through Philadelphia and NYC, visiting New Haven, CT regularly — all in Solidarity. You can find me in tents, on the streets, in the plazas and at General Assemblies. You can find me quietly listening to discussions and absorbing all the information as well as working hard on political campaigns for good friends.
I know I said months ago I’d be back but I had no idea what my life would become or where it was taking me. Regardless, I’m grateful for it and wouldn’t change a single piece of it.
My schedule for this weekend got changed and it ended up giving me three days of free time. I’ve used it all to lurk SL, which ended up with me hanging out on the Delka Rebels sim. This image is there, in a room I decorated. I doubt I’ll have enough time to actually RP, which is sadly what happened with me and Heriolfr — which I am still in love with.
Perhaps one day I might get the chance to sit down, take a deep breath and lose myself in some crazy RP plot-line again. Until that happens, I hope everyone else works hard to have their own epic adventures on their own.

I know what you’re thinking. How the hell and why am I making a blog post after I said I wouldn’t be around. Well, it’s kind of hard to stop anything cold turkey. Yes, this is me saying that being as wired to the internet and Second Life as I am is a type of addiction. Internet Addiction. I’m serious, it’s totally real. I am currently sitting in a Brew Ha Ha with my massive gaming laptop that takes up half of a table (my jackets and bags take up the other half) and checking what I normally check — everything.
I checked Flickr like I usually do and was overwhelmed with contact requests. It was odd. I had never had so many at once but I quickly saw why and I was pretty much blown away. Yep. Mind Blown. Total JKF.
I checked my upload of the above picture. I had done it on a tablet pc, one with a touchpad monitor. It’s magical. It was the first time and I didn’t think it was that fantastic but… it had over 30 favorites and then I read one of the comments. I was posted as the Flickr picture of the day on the LL SL community blog!
So, I just wanted to say Thank You to whomever decided that my picture was worthy of that! It’s really flattering!

It’s honestly so like me to make my grand return to blogging only to… disappear for a month. I can say, though, that it wasn’t just me being a lazy bitch. There may be a few moments here or there where it was just being a lazy bitch but for the most part, I have just been tremendously busy in real life. I know, so terrible, right? Actually, right now it’s not too terrible at all. I can’t complain.
I really need to catch up. I have over fifteen outfits I have saved that I need to blog and no time to do so. I need to stop making new ones until I blog them but I change just about daily. It’s my routine. New day in Second Life, new outfit for the day. Being versatile in my attire is a part of my love of both Second Life and Role Playing within Gor. The Gorean guidelines help me have boundaries for my clothing as well as drives me in my searches for things useable and within all that, there is a feeling of artistic expression. I adore it.

Another art-based post. This will probably become rather frequent as I seem to do them almost regularly now that I am lurking on an amazing sim. Heriolfr is super active, well built and fantastic — though I could just be biased on that fantastic part. I really suggest people checking it out though, if Northern Gor is your thing. They try to stay as by the book as they can, without ruining everyone’s experience.
Now, onto the picture. It’s pretty sappy and sad. There are tears, yep. There is crying to be had in this picture. The focal point, though, are the yellow flowers in the hair. They’re Talenders, obviously. Talenders are rather sappy and romantic in themselves within Gor. Instead of me sitting here rambling, I’ll keep it short and end it off with a book quote.
The talender, fixed in her hair, is a slave girl’s wordless confession, which, commonly, she dares not speak, that she cares for her Master…
